CLBC Updates May 2020 

    Updates from the CLBC Family

    • Pastor Matt Sonnenberg (Rachel) began serving Grace Lutheran, Okotoks in December 2019. 
    • Jeremiah Overland (Amy) has begun serving St. Matthew's Church in Edmonton. 
    • Rock of Ages LBC in Saskatoon is seeking to call a new pastor after Pastor Scott Kopperud resigned. 
    • Pastor Skip MacArthur (Lorraine) serving Bethany Lutheran in Morrin, Alberta is being treated for cancer. 
    • Pastor Scott Kopperud (Carol Ann) is completing seminary studies online through LB Seminary. 
    • Pastor Clint Knutson (Heather), serving Birch Hills Community Church / Saron Lutheran Church, is pursuing Doctoral studies through Concordia Seminary. 
    • Faith LB Church in Estevan is nearing completion of its building project! 
    • Pray for new church planting opportunities in Canada! 
    Please pray for these Pastors, their families and church in these transitions, call process and continuing education!  Pray for Pastor Skip and Lorraine through his cancer treatment.  


    Annual Convention 2020 

    CLBC delegates and friends enjoyed a great Annual Convention March 13-15 at Rock of Ages, LBC in Saskatoon. Guest speaker was Dr. David Veum, President of Lutheran Brethren Seminary. Our theme was Passing the Torch and focused on the call and training of our future pastors and missionaries! Thank you, Rock of Ages for hosting a great convention!
